We are devoted to delivering cutting-edge enterprise wide Internet fax solutions. While we have many more enhancements in our roadmap, we already lead the industry with our secure faxing options, APIs for outbound fax integration and FTP and FTPS (FTP over SSL) fax delivery for workflow automation. Our secure faxing is heavily utilized in the healthcare, financial services and legal industries where corporate compliance (HIPAA, SOX, GLBA, SEC regulations, etc.) plays a significant role. Our client base spans pretty much the entire spectrum of industries. While the majority of our customers are in the U.S., we have customers in approximately 45 countries worldwide. Our customer base includes several Fortune 500 firms. As an example, one of the largest banks in the country uses our services as well as a leading national car rental company. Along with the private sector, we also service several government agencies.
Internet fax service from Innoport brings the power and savings of internet faxing to your personal computer and handheld device. Receive and send faxes with nothing more than a broadband or dial-up connection to the internet. No telephone lines, fax modems or additional software required.
Innoport provides virtual fax numbers for receiving faxes directly in your email. Once a fax is sent to your number, you immediately receive an email message from Innoport containing your fax document. Your fax is attached to the email in your option of PDF or TIF format. You may designate any email address for receiving messages and you can even assign up to four email accounts per phone number for simultaneous message delivery.
Innoport also offers a number of ways to send faxes with no software or telephone lines: directly from your email account or from your Innoport account online. Using email-to-fax or webfax, you may send faxes to recipients worldwide. You may specify documents in various formats to be delivered to one or multiple fax numbers at once.
Our advanced fax features, which are part of the Standard Corporate Plan are:
- Fax to FTP/FTPS delivery. You may choose to have your faxes delivered to your server via ftp. We also support secure FTP (FTP over SSL and SSH).
- Encrypted faxes. You may choose to have your faxes encrypted in a PDF file using 128 bit encryption. This requires a password to read the faxes.
- Secure Email You may choose to have your faxes emailed to you using a secure email delivery option, SMTP over TLS.
- FAX API. You can send out faxes from your mission-critical web and stand-alone applications using our robust FAX API.
- OCR capability. Add optional data capture solution to automate your fax document routing.
The concept of hosted unified communications was first introduced before the turn of the century, but has only started crossing over into mainstream acceptance in recent years as modern communications have become increasingly more intricate.

Widespread Adoption of Hosted Unified Communications
The trend towards unified communications as a de facto standard has gained significant momentum as of late and is primarily fueled by the rapid adoption among large enterprises that are seeing their aging infrastructure reach full depreciation. In assessing new communication purchases, the convolution of modern communications combined with the overhead of managing multiple disparate systems make unified communications an easy sell as it significantly reduces the total cost of ownership. Many variables are taken into consideration during the decision-making process, but the two key factors that can’t be ignored in switching to a unified communications architecture are the inevitable direct cost savings and increased worker productivity perceived by the shift. Companies should also be mindful of the host of soft benefits derived from a unified communications solution, such as brand loyalty and customer satisfaction arising out of faster response time and trust in a technology-led business.
The decision to implement an in-house unified communications solution or a hosted unified communications solution is more complex and requires comprehensive analysis. In creating feasibility studies to compare the cost-benefit between an in-house versus a hosted approach to unified communications, companies often erroneously leave out the cost of maintaining equipment with an in-house solution, overlooking expenses as support contracts and/or labor in keeping on employees knowledgeable about the hardware and software platforms. When this component is incorporated into the equation along with the upfront capital investment as well as scale and upgrade costs associated with customer premise equipment (CPE), the ROI is almost always in favor of outsourcing to a hosted unified communications solution provider.
